Plating Carrier

In accordance with IATA ticketing procedures, a valid bilateral interline agreement must exist between the plating carrier, marketing carrier and operating carrier.

Air Canada’s 014 carrier plate can’t be used to issue tickets for:

  • Other airlines’ segments without at least one AC segment on the ticket.
  • Other airlines contracted fares, private fares, and Corporate or Leisure agreements which do not include Air Canada as a participating carrier
  • Other airlines published fares that specify in their CAT 15 Sales Restrictions (SR) that ticketing must be on the other airline’s plate.

Should you issue tickets using Air Canada’s 014 carrier plate when it is not permitted, debit memos will be issued for the full published fares and applicable taxes.
