AD75/50 AGENCY REDUCED RATE AUTHORIZATION PROGRAM 2023 FLYING ON LH, OS AND LX FLIGHTS ONLY (Applicable to IATA travel agencies ONLY, NOT TIDS)

Participating carriers

In Economy Class, AD75 promotion codes entitle qualified agency personnel to a 75/50% reduction on applicable fares when traveling on Air Canada, Air Canada Express™ and Air Canada Rouge™.

In Premium Economy Class, AD75 promotion codes entitle qualified agency personnel to a 75/50% reduction on applicable fares when traveling on Air Canada.

In Business Class, AD 75/50 promotion codes entitle qualified agency personnel to a 75/50% reduction on applicable fares when traveling on Air Canada, Air Canada Express™ and Air Canada Rouge™ (Premium rouge cabin).

Validity and eligibility

2023 AD75/50 promotion codes are valid for outbound travel, up to and including January 31, 2024. Please note travel on Air Canada using an AD75/AD50 must be booked and ticketed through www.aircanada.com/agents.

The AD75/50 program is extended to IATA & TIDS travel agencies who have held IATA accreditation for at least 12 consecutive months. Its personnel must be employed by the agency, without interruption, for 12 months before the travel date.

Qualified personnel also includes those employed for at least 3 months with a current agency, provided they were previously employed with another approved agency, and the employment interruption did not exceed 60 days.

A fifty percent reduction (AD50) is also extended to the spouse of the qualified agency personnel, provided that the agency personnel and the spouse are booked on the same flights, on 2 separate PNRs, in Economy, Premium Economy or Business Class . A spouse is defined as legally married or common-law partner of the same or opposite sex.

Please consult IATA resolution 880 in the IATA travel agents manual for all terms and conditions for reduced fares for accredited travel agencies.

Reservations and ticketing

Reservations and tickets are subject to the Air Canada AD75/50 program, the published fare rule and the CRS Booking and ticketing policy.

If your itinerary includes travel on Air Canada and Lufthansa, Austrian or Swiss, note that two (2) promotion codes will be required. ( the Air Canada flights have to be booked at aircanada.com/agents and Lufthansa, Austrian or Swiss flights have to be booked in your CRS).

Note all applicable fees such as airport/departure taxes, security charges or third party fees, taxes or charges are the sole responsibility of the bearer of the ticket.

** NOTE:

Entry of SK elements for AD75/50 travel must be assigned to the LH/OS flight segment.

If the flight booking is changed, the SK element is automatically deleted; it must therefore be re-entered after every rebooking.

If you are creating the booking in Amadeus or changing the booking, please enter the SK elements as follows:

If you are booking your AD75/50 travel in a CRS other than Amadeus, the required SK element must be entered by LH. In such cases, please contact your Lufthansa Sales & Service Team for each new booking and rebooking of an AD75/50 journey; the team will make the necessary SK entries for you.

Ticketing

Economy Class and Business Class

A ticket time limit applies to all unrestrictive fares. Ticketing is required 3 days prior to departure, or within 24 hours for bookings made within 3 days of departure. Please remember to action your queues and provide ticket number (s) by the required date to prevent PNR cancellation. 20% of the debit memo, with a minimum of $50, will be charged for missing information.

Promotion code
  • One AD75 promotion code is required for you and a separate AD50 promotion code is required for your spouse.
  • One promotion code is valid for a single round trip travel.
  • A promotion code can only be used once.
Ticket Issuance
  • Issue your tickets using BSP/ARC 014 ticket stock, according to the fare rule.
Ticket Designator
  • Review the fare rule, to ensure it permits a discount. If the fare permits a discount it will be indicated.
  • Enter the applicable ticket designator (ex: Y/AD75 or AD50).
Routing
  • As per fare rule.
Not valid after
  • As per fare rule, or 30 days from outbound flight if no maximum stay applies.
Tour Code
  • Enter your 8 digit promotion code.
    A ticketing error fee of $50 CA plus tax applies for incorrect/missing promotion code.
Commission/Itinerary
  • Enter '0' and the applicable itinerary code.
Conjunction Tickets
  • Issue the travel agent and spouse ticket in conjunction, when applicable.

Irregular operations and schedule changes: Protection/rerouting on other carriers not permitted.

Check-in: Please allow sufficient time for check-in and be prepared to check all baggage that does not meet the airline' carry-on baggage rules. Verify baggage policy at http:/www.aircanada.com/baggage.

Maple Leaf Lounge access: Air Canada is required under the U. S. Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Secure Flight Program, to collect at least 72 hours prior to departure, the following information:

  • Full name as it appears on the travel document;
  • Date of birth;
  • Gender;
  • Redress Number – a unique number obtained from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for passengers that share the same name as someone on the U.S. watch list (if applicable).

This information must be provided at aircanada.com/agents For reservations made within 72 hours of departure, the information must be provided at time of booking.

Please ensure that sufficient time has been provided for U.S. Customs and Immigration formalities when pre-clearance is offered in Canada.

When travelling to international destinations: You must obtain health visas and proof of citizenship. In the event that you are denied entry into the country resulting in a cost to Air Canada, the airline shall retain the right to seek redress for any and all costs it incurred. Such occurrence is likely to result in the withdrawal, cancellation or suspension of reduced rate travel privileges of the travel agency by which you are employed.
