NAME CHANGE POLICY
FOR TICKETS ISSUED ON/BEFORE JANUARY 11, 2023

Air Canada’s name change policy applies to certain fares within Canada
If your client’s ticket is eligible, an Air Canada Contact Centre will facilitate the name change1, once you have completed these steps:  

  1. Create a new PNR in the original customer’s name, re-issue the ticket at the applicable fare, including the applicable change fee.
  2. Contact your AC Help Desk at any time to request a name change.  You will need to provide the original PNR and the ticket number and payment for the name change fee when applicable. 

Eligibility

  • Fully unused 014 tickets for travel within Canada
  • Flights must be marketed and operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Express

1 Only one name change is permitted per ticket.

Exclusions

  • Basic fares, and any fare and markets not identified in the above grid
  • Partially used tickets
  • Name changes done at the airport
  • AC marketed flights operated by other airlines, and other airlines marketed and operated flights
  • Air Canada Vacations package, no fare ticketing (IT BT), Flight Passes and Group bookings
