Ticketing and Plating

Air Canada’s plating policy has been amended to restrict ticketing on 014 ticket stock when AC is not part of the itinerary

If Aeroplan issues the reward ticket, a travel agency can issue the revenue ticket on another airline using the OAL’s electronic ticket stock

Please note, if 014 is used to ticket OAL space without at least one AC segment contained in the ticket, a minimum of $100.00 CAD/USD per ticket will be assessed

Restrictions

Air Canada’s carrier identification plate MAY NOT BE used to issue tickets on:

  • Other airlines’ contracted fares and private fares
  • Other airlines’ agreements
  • Other airlines’ published fares that specify in their sales restriction that ticketing must be on the other airlines’s plate.
  • In accordance with Iata ticketing procedures, a valid bilateral interline agreement must exist between the plating carrier, marketing carrier and operating carrier.

No other exceptions will be authorized by Air Canada.

Aeroplan

If Aeroplan issues the reward ticket, a travel agency can issue the revenue ticket on another airline using the OAL’s electronic ticket stock.

Note: debit memos will be issued for under-collected fare and taxes and over-claimed commissions.
