Air Canada Rates Department provides pricing assistance for complex bookings that can’t be auto-priced in your GDS, and refunds when Air Canada has control of the ticket.

All requests must be queued from your GDS.

Requests are prioritized by travel date and ticketing deadline.
Urgent requests accepted only for travel within 72 hours.

  • Monday - Friday:    08:00 to 20:00 ET
  • Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 to 18:00 ET

Policies And Guidelines

  • Tickets, original and exchanges, must be plated 014
  • The complete itinerary must be on the PNR and have at least one active segment. Open segments are permitted but must be clearly indicated as stopovers or connections.
  • For connecting itineraries in North America, Air Canada must operate a long-haul flight.
  • For international itineraries, Air Canada must operate one transcontinental flight.
  • For travel to the Caribbean and Central America via the US, Air Canada must have at least one long-haul transborder segment to the international gateway.
  • Requests must be clearly entered in Remarks, followed by your name and date.
  • Passenger types must be identified (example: senior, infant etc.)
  • Rates agents will not provide assistance with:
    • Verification of a GDS generated fare quote and GDS technical support.
    • Private, in-house, or contract fare quotes.
    • Requests for recalculation if AC is not the reissuing carrier.
    • Refund requests for tickets plated on other airlines.

Response Times

  • We will do our best to respond within the following time frame:
    • Travel within 24 hours, requests will be actioned as soon as possible.
    • Travel within 72 hours, requests will be actioned within 24 business hours.
    • Travel outside 72 hours, requests will be actioned within 72 business hours.
  • If Air Canada Rates is unclear as to the specifics of your request, a rates agent will remark and queue the PNR to clarify your request. The formal response will then be queued back to you in your GDS.
  • Fare quotes will be guaranteed until the end of the next business day (Monday to Friday), unless otherwise specified by Air Canada Rates. Any changes made to the itinerary once quoted, will be subject to fare re-calculation.
