Plating Carrier

If the 014 plate is used to issue a ticket for travel on another carrier not listed below under Exceptions and on which AC is not participating a Debit Memo will be issued for a service charge of 50.00 + GST/QST or HST.

Air Canada’s carrier identification plate cannot be used to issue tickets on:

• other carrier contracted fares / private fares
• other carrier agreements / contracts
• other carrier published fares that specify in their sales restriction that ticketing must be on OAL plate.

Note: debit memos will be issued for under-collected fare, over-claimed commissions or fare not valid on AC plate in these situationsfares that specify in their sales restriction that ticketing must be on OAL plate.

If Aeroplan issues the reward ticket, a travel agency can issue the revenue ticket on OAL without the plating fee, provided the names on the tickets match and the revenue ticket is cross referenced with the Aeroplan ticket.

For travel wholly on the services of the carriers listed below (on-line or interline), where there are no Air Canada sectors, an Air Canada O14 plate may be used without service charge, when the plate of the following airlines are not in your possession and provided a valid published fare is used:

9M, 9W, A3, AV, BR, CA, CM, EI, ET, EY, JP, KF, LH, LO, LR, LX, ME, MS, NH (including EL, NQ, EH), NZ, OS (including VO), OU, OZ, SA, SK, SN, SQ, TA, TG, TK, TP, UA (including UA Express), UL and ZH

For travel issued on another carrier, but in conjunction with AC travel, where two separate tickets are required, the Air Canada ticket number and/or Air Canada flight number and date must be referenced in the endorsement box to avoid a service charge. The agency issuing both tickets should not differ, unless one of the tickets is issued by a consolidator.

The order of priority in the selection of the ticketing airline is as follows:

Domestic or Transborder

The ticketing airline shall be the airline (or its general sales agent at the place of ticket issuance) performing the first sector of transportation or if this is not possible, then any bank settlement plan airline participating in the transportation.

International

The ticketing airline shall be any bank settlement plan airline, participating in the transportation.
