International Student Offer

The following definitions apply for the purposes of the Terms and Conditions of the Special Student Offer:

• “Eligible Fare” means those fares that are exclusively eligible for this Offer, being: Economy Standard, Economy Flex, Economy Latitude, Premium Economy Lowest, Premium Economy Flexible, Business Class Lowest and Business Class Flexible.
• “Eligible Flight(s)” means a flight operated and marketed by Air Canada®, Air Canada Rouge® or under the Air Canada Express® brand departing from Tokyo, Japan ( Narita) with destination Canada or USA. Eligible flight numbers: AC1 – AC1999, AC7200 – AC8999
• “Offer” means this Special Student Offer.
• “Offer Period” means February 11, 2022 starting at 0:01 through to March 15, 2022 inclusively, times at the city of your departure.
• “Eligible Student” means an individual in possession of a valid study permit for Canada or the United States that can benefit from this Offer.
• “Travel Period” means outbound departure flight February 11, 2022 starting at 0:01 through to April 15, 2022 inclusively, times at the city of your departure.

This Offer for Eligible Students only is valid for Eligible Flights during the Travel Period booked on aircanada.com during the Offer Period. No blackout dates apply. Round-trip and one-way travel is permitted. Round-trip itineraries require a minimum three-month stay. Codeshare and interline flights are excluded.

To book this offer, a single-use promotional code must be obtained via email from your local sales office. The code may then be used on aircanada.com to complete your booking. Any subsequent inquiries including but not limited to how to book using the code or questions about fares and post booking support must be directed to the Air Canada Contact Centre. The promotional code may not be transferred or used by any individual except for the eligible student to which the code is issued. Failure to comply may result in ticket forfeiture and being refused travel. If the original booking is cancelled, a new promotional code must be requested.

You may request the promotional code by sending an email with the following supporting information. You will receive a reply within three business days.

Send to student.jp@aircanada.ca and include;

1. Full legal name of eligible student to appear on the booking
2. Proof of study of eligible student (for Canada or the United States) – One of the following:
3. i) valid student visa, or;
4. ii) letter of acceptance from their institution for the current or upcoming academic year

Air Canada will use the proof of study only to confirm eligibility under this Offer, and otherwise in compliance with applicable privacy law.

For this Offer Eligible Students will receive one additional free checked bag above the regular allowance as permitted by the Eligible Fare type selected. This allowance will display on the Eligible Student’s electronic ticket after completing the booking and will be honoured at the airport. The booking flow on aircanada.com will not reflect the additional free checked bag. The itinerary receipt will not reflect the additional free checked bag but this will be recognised at the airport Check your itinerary receipt to ensure it reflects the promotional code you entered at time of booking. This will ensure the extra baggage allowance is recognized

As part of this Offer, Eligible Students will have the checked baggage allowance outlined below:

• Economy Class: 3pcs, 23kg/pc, Maximum linear dimensions 158cm/pc
• Premium Economy: 3pcs, 23kg/pc, Maximum linear dimensions 158cm/pc
• Business Class: 3pcs, 32kg/pc, Maximum linear dimensions 158cm/pc

Eligible Students who are Aeroplan Elite™ members will not be entitled to receive more than a maximum of three complimentary checked bags. Additional baggage will be subject to fees, as outlined here: https://www.aircanada.com/jp/en/aco/home/plan/baggage/checked.html.

For Economy Standard, Economy Flex, and Premium Economy Lowest fares, Eligible Students will be permitted the following added booking flexibility to accommodate changing travel plans:

• No change fees before and after departure. (Not applicable in case of no-show. Subject to availability. Eligible Students may be required to pay a difference in fare, as applicable.)
• Refundable prior to departure subject to payment of a fee of 30000 JPY, or after departure with payment of a fee of 30000 JPY. (Non-refundable in case of no-show. Fully refundable in case of Air Canada initiated schedule change.)

All other fare rules apply based on the fare type selected.

Eligible Students may cancel and refund without penalty within 24 hours of booking.

Eligible Students must book individually. One passenger per booking. Multiple Eligible Students travelling together will require separate bookings.

This Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, discount, or promotion, unless specified. All flights are subject to Air Canada’s General Conditions of Carriage and Tariffs and can be found on aircanada.com.

For Eligible Students that are not of the age of majority in their country of residence, please review this Offer with your parents or legal guardian prior to taking advantage of it.
