About Us
The Air Canada Foundation is a registered charitable foundation that works towards improving the health and well-being of children, alleviating poverty among children and wish-granting for seriously ill children. Whether it be through financial aid, Aeroplan points donation, airline tickets or employee volunteers, the Air Canada Foundation is constantly expanding its reach to give back to the community.
Although Air Canada has had a long history of working with reputable relief agencies to provide first response support during times of disasters, it was the devastation following the Haiti earthquake in 2012 that saw the start of the Air Canada Foundation. The desire of Air Canada employees to get involved and make a difference was overwhelming. Many initiatives and humanitarian efforts were undertaken to highlight the need to support long-term development projects benefiting children. This was the start of the Air Canada Foundation.
Today, the Air Canada Foundation manages over $5 million annually and impacts thousands of children with its various programs and partnerships.
