Why is Travel Insurance Essential?

No matter where you are travelling, here are some excellent reasons to buy travel insurance the next time you book a trip:

  • Your government health insurance plan may not cover all emergency medical expenses
  • Your credit card coverage may be limited
  • Your employee benefits plan coverage may be limited
  • You may need coverage for a range of situations

Note: Travel insurance is not essential for cancellations and refunds that are permitted under applicable fare rules (i.e. as determined by the fare type you have selected), or for cancellations and refunds which are done, without penalty for any purchased ticket up to 24 hours after purchase.
