Applicable Carriers
Air Canada Carriers
Air Canada and any carrier with whom Air Canada has a capacity purchase or wet lease agreement who operates on behalf of Air Canada under the “Air Canada”, the “Air Canada Rouge” or the “Air Canada Express” brands, as well as The Landline Company Inc. in its capacity as an operator of ground transportation on behalf of Air Canada.
Transatlantic Joint Venture Carriers (JV)
Air Canada Carriers, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Austrian Airlines Inc., Swiss International Airlines Limited, Brussels Airlines, Edelweiss Air, Discover Airlines, United Airlines Inc., and any carrier which has a wet lease agreement whereby they operate on behalf of said carriers.
China Joint Venture Carriers (JV)
Air Canada Carriers and Air China LTD applicable only for mainland China (section 1) Time of Ticketing
Time of Ticketing DOES NOT apply to:
- Change fees, seat selection fees, meals, upgrades, and all other optional products and services fees
- All net fares, including Leisure/ Group net fares and IT/BT (no fare ticketing)
- Small and medium enterprise tickets identified with a PN # or any other account number
- Corporate contract tickets identified with a "CC" corporate contract number, a Star Alliance contract number or any other corporate contract number in the tour code box, including tickets with no corporate discount applied
- Aeroplan redemption tickets, Industry reduced rates, Air Canada Vacations air-only tickets, Bereavement fares and any other discount program fares
- Taxes, surcharge and any fees/charges entered in the tax boxes
- Group bookings on Sun, South America, Transatlantic, mainland China and Transpacific
- Round the World RTW fares
- Infant fares not occupying a seat
- Tickets issued via the Air Canada Web link
- Retroactive Time of Ticketing; it is the responsibility of the travel agent to claim the correct time of ticketing upon ticket issuance

Time of Ticketing
Air Canada offers Time of Ticketing commission for tickets issued via www.aircanada.com/agents, AC NDC and the GDS. For complete details, refer to the Time of Ticketing section. This offer may not apply to agencies on an Air Canada customized agreement.
- Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to the amount in the Total fare box?
No. The Time of Ticketing commission applies only to the base fare, surcharge, stopover charges and elements shown in the fare calculation and fare boxes of the ticket. Taxes, surcharges, and all fees/charges entered in the tax boxes are excluded. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to all tickets?
No. Refer to the Time of Ticketing DOES NOT apply to section. - For GDS bookings, what tour code must be entered for the Time of Ticketing commission to apply?
Refer to the Tour Code section in the Terms and Conditions Applicable for All Services grid for the required tour code by service. Canada and USA services do not require a tour code. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to itinerary changes?
Yes, provided the reissued ticket is in a booking class eligible for the Time of Ticketing commission. The Time of Ticketing commission applies to the fare difference (additional collection) but not to the change fee. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to itineraries with a combination of booking classes?
Yes. Refer to the Combination of booking classes section in the Terms and Conditions Applicable for All Services grid. - How is the Time of Ticketing commission paid for tickets purchased on aircanada.com/agents?
Accredited IATA and TIDS agencies are paid weekly through BSP Canada. Flight Passes are paid via Agency Credit Memos. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to Flight Passes?
Yes, 4% Time of Ticketing commission applies to all Flight Pass products and is paid when the Flight Pass is purchased. As such, when Flight Pass Credits are booked, they are not eligible for the Time of Ticketing commission. - Are Air Canada for Business tickets eligible for the Time of Ticketing commission?
No, tickets identified with the Air Canada for Business PN # are not eligible. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to Group Bookings?
- A 5 % Time of Ticketing commission is offered for Domestic Canada and Transborder group bookings, including Alaska and Hawaii, on the base fare of your tickets issued from your Air Canada claimed group PNR(s)
- This offer is valid for Canadian IATA accredited travel agents only
- Ticket must be issued on the Air Canada 014 plate and flights must be marketed and operated by Air Canada or Air Canada Express defined as Jazz Aviation LP
- When issuing the tickets, enter 5%, or the commission $ amount in the commission box. For more information related to claiming the Time of Ticketing commission, please contact your GDS Help Desk

- Is the Time of Ticketing commission recalled when tickets are refunded?
Whether tickets are voluntarily or involuntarily refunded, the Time of Ticketing commission is forfeited and will be recalled via Debit Memo. - Does the Time of Ticketing commission apply to bookings made via Web link?
No, bookings made through an Air Canada Web link are not eligible. - Who can I contact for Time of Ticketing commission payment related questions?
Questions should be forwarded to My AC Agency Support and must include the ticket number(s) as well as the agency IATA or TIDS #. - How long do I have to dispute an unpaid Time of Ticketing commission?
Time of Ticketing commission on eligible tickets can be disputed within 1 year of ticket issuance. Please ensure that the ticket is eligible and not paid. Air Canada shall have no liability for any commission disputed by an agency more than one year from the date of the ticket issuance. - When does the Time of Ticketing incentive expire?
There is no expiry date, but the program is subject to review and change at any time without notice. - Where can I get information on how to claim the Time of Ticketing commission in my GDS?
