What is Landline?

Landline is the industry leader in providing seamless air-to-ground connectivity. Landline’s luxury motorcoaches allow Air Canada to leverage the seamlessness and affordability of ground transportation to add dynamic new routes to their network without sacrificing on quality or customer experience.

How do I book a Landline itinerary?

Landline/Air Canada itineraries are booked like any other flight in the Air Canada network. Book online from Hamilton (YHM) or Region of Waterloo (YKF) to your final destination (e.g. Hamilton [YHM] to Vancouver [YVR].

Can I book just the Landline segment?

Landline works as a seamless connection to your Air Canada flight through Toronto Pearson. You are not able to book Landline independently of your flight.

I have an existing trip, how do I add this segment to my itinerary?

To add Landline to an existing booking, please call our Contact Centre. A fare difference may apply.

How much would it cost to add a Landline segment?

Air Canada’s pricing is competitive and dynamic, meaning that it varies depending on destination and passenger demand. For specific pricing information, check out our fares online while booking.

How far ahead do I need to be at my Landline pick-up location?

To allow time for baggage drop-off and other airport processes, you’ll need to arrive at your Landline motor coach pick-up location well ahead of the scheduled departure time.


For journeys starting at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) or Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF), please arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes ahead of scheduled departure time.


For customers departing Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), please arrive at the pick-up location no later than 15 minutes ahead of scheduled departure time.

How much time do I need to connect in Toronto to/from a Landline segment?

Connecting times in Toronto (YYZ) are already accounted for at time of booking, including those with Landline segments. For more information, please see minimum connecting times for Landline segments in the chart below:

How do I check in?

In Hamilton (YHM) or Region of Waterloo (YKF), proceed inside the airport terminal to the Air Canada check-in counter and check in up to 30 minutes before departure, just like you would for a flight.


You’ll receive a boarding pass for your Landline segment and any connecting flight segments. You can also check in online or on the Air Canada app up to 24 hours before your flight.

What should I do with my bags?

In Hamilton (YHM) and Region of Waterloo (YKF), head to the baggage counter and drop off your belongings just like you would for a flight. You can check bags all the way to your final destination.

Will I have a boarding pass?

Yes, you will receive a boarding pass upon check-in for your segment to Toronto Pearson, as well as your onward connecting flight. The gate on the boarding pass for your Landline segment will show as CURB.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available for a fee at both Hamilton (YHM) and Region of Waterloo (YKF), For additional information, please contact the airports directly.

Where do I go to board my Landline vehicle?

After check-in, please proceed to the curb directly outside the terminal to board the Landline vehicle for Toronto Pearson. At Toronto Pearson, Landline departures to Hamilton and Region of Waterloo will depart from Ground Level – Ground Transportation – Column P6. Please follow the signs when exiting baggage claim.

What amenities are available on board?

Every Landline vehicle features 2x1 configured reclining leather seats with in-seat power and a sturdy tray table. During your drive, you’ll also enjoy free Wi-Fi. The vehicle is equipped with a lavatory as well.

Will I earn Aeroplan points on the Landline segment?

Yes, you can earn Aeroplan points and qualifying currencies (SQM, SQS, SQD) just like flights operated by Air Canada.

Can I redeem Aeroplan points for travel with Landline?

Aeroplan Members can redeem Aeroplan points for itineraries which include bus service segments operated by Landline, just like flight segments operated by Air Canada. Points can only be redeemed with Landline in combination with a connecting flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, or by carriers under the Air Canada Express brand on the same itinerary.

What accessibility needs can be accommodated on the motorcoach?

We’re happy to help meet your medical or mobility needs while you travel on the motorcoach. We provide assistance with:


  • Helping navigate to the check-in counters at YHM and YKF, assistance checking in, assistance to the waiting area and from the waiting area to the motorcoach.
  • Helping with boarding, including using the stairs or the lift.
  • Helping you board with your mobility aid, and securing it to the motorcoach (if travelling in a mobility device). Assistance stowing the mobility device below if travelling in a standard seat.
  • Accepting service and support dogs.
  • Help with deboarding the bus, including going down the stairs and using the lift (if necessary), and assistance proceeding from the bus to your connecting flight gate.

If you require assistance, we request that you contact us at least 48 hours prior to your departure to allow for coordination of the appropriate services.
