The Aeroplan Credit Card Everyday Redemption Program (the “Program”) is open only to Eligible Participants. “Eligible Participants” means Aeroplan members in good standing who are also primary cardholders^[1] of a credit card included on the following website (a “Credit Card”) and whose Credit Card account is open, active and in good standing (the “Credit Card Account”). From time to time, we may change the Credit Cards in our sole discretion and without notice.

This Program will allow Eligible Participants who register for the Program to accept offers to redeem Aeroplan points from their own Aeroplan account for statement credits that offset the cost of eligible purchases made using their Credit Card (“Redemption Offers”). The Credit Card Account shall be the account of the Aeroplan member participating in this Program and receiving Redemption Offers, and we reserve the right, at our discretion, to limit the number of a Participating Cardholder’s eligible Credit Cards that can participate in the Program.

To participate in this Program, an Eligible Participant must register for the Program by linking their Credit Card Account to their Aeroplan account on the link your card page (each, a “Participating Cardholder”). When doing so, each Participating Cardholder will have to provide the required consents, including to permit Aeroplan Inc. (“Aeroplan”) to send them Redemption Offers through SMS to a valid Canadian phone number as well as process their personal information for purposes of the Program. Redemption Offers may contain additional terms and conditions based on the specific eligible transaction that a Participating Cardholder will agree to by accepting such Redemption Offers.

Once a Participating Cardholder’s Aeroplan account and Credit Card Account are linked, they will then be able to select the spend categories that they would like to qualify for when receiving Redemption Offers.

The spend categories for the Program are included on the pay with points page and may be modified from time to time at our sole discretion. A Participating Cardholder may change their spend categories at any time on the account management page. Once a Participating Cardholder selects their spend categories, any purchase with a value between $25-$250 made using their Credit Card may generate Redemption Offers, as more fully determined by Aeroplan. The value, frequency, category and any other terms applicable to Redemption Offers are at Aeroplan's sole discretion. Redemption Offers are specific to a purchase made on a Credit Card and are valid for 24 hours from the time the SMS message is sent. In order to receive the statement credit on their Credit Card Account, a Participating Cardholder must accept Redemption Offers by replying to the SMS message or by accepting on the account management page. Once accepted, the redemption of Aeroplan points is final and cannot be reversed. If a purchase is returned, the statement credit that resulted from the Redemption Offers will not be removed from the Credit Card Account. The currency of the statement credit is Canadian dollars.

Only Aeroplan accounts with sufficient Aeroplan points balances will be provided Redemption Offers. Redemptions made by Participating Cardholders who are members of a Family Sharing Pool are subject to the terms of the Aeroplan Family Sharing feature.

Once the statement credit is posted to the Credit Card Account, it will reduce the total balance (as such term or any similar such term is understood between the Participating Cardholder and the issuer of their Credit Card) on their Credit Card Account for the next statement cycle. Whether or not Aeroplan points are earned on any purchase for which a Redemption Offer has been accepted is determined by the financial institution who issues the Credit Card.

If a Participating Cardholder accepts any Redemption Offers, please allow up to 30 days for the statement credit to be posted to, and appear on, their Credit Card Account statement. If a Participating Cardholder no longer wishes to participate in the Program, the Participating Cardholder can unlink their accounts at any time by visiting the account management page. In order to receive a statement credit, a Participating Cardholder’s Credit Card Account must remain linked at the time the statement credit is posted to their Credit Card Account.

In the event that an authorized user of a supplementary card linked to a primary cardholder’s Credit Card Account (a “Supplementary Cardholder”) registers for this Program, such Supplementary Cardholder acknowledges that: a) Aeroplan points will be debited from such Supplementary Cardholder’s Aeroplan points balance; and b) any statement credit will be posted to the Credit Card Account of the primary cardholder. The primary cardholder is solely responsible for the actions of a Supplementary Cardholder in respect of the Program.

This Program will be in addition to any other offers available to the Credit Card Account or to Aeroplan members.

This Program is made by Aeroplan and may be changed, withdrawn or extended at any time, without notice, and is nontransferable and is not redeemable for cash. Statement credits will be issued and applied to the Credit Card Account by Visa. No financial institution who issues any Credit Card will have any responsibility or liability for any aspect of this Program.

If this Program is not running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, pandemic or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Aeroplan which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Program, Aeroplan reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Program, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way. Aeroplan also reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual from this Program and to ban the individual from any future offers that it finds or believes to be tampering with the process or the operation of this Program.
