New redemption options with Eurowings
On July 25, 2024, Eurowings joined Aeroplan’s lineup of airline redemption partners. With the connectivity of their 200+ destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, there are now even more ways to explore the world with your points.

A better way to connect to Aeroplan Elite Wi-Fi
Aeroplan 75K and Super Elite Members who chose the Aeroplan Elite Wi-Fi Plan as a Select Benefit can now easily use and activate it. When on board, connect to in-flight Wi-Fi then simply enter your last name and seat number to get connected! Signing in to your Aeroplan account is no longer necessary. If your Aeroplan Elite Wi-Fi Plan is not yet activated, entering your last name and seat number will automatically activate it.
Expanded benefits with Edelweiss Air
Aeroplan 25K and 35K Members can now enjoy Business Class check-in privileges when flying Economy with Edelweiss Air.
This addition expands the existing benefits for Lufthansa Group carriers and enhances your travel experience. Just a reminder, we announced in March that and flying with Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines or Austrian Airlines.
Extended validity for Status Passes
Great news! The Status Passes you have as part of your Core and Select Benefits are now valid for a full 12 months from the date they were earned. This adjustment does not apply retroactively to any Status Passes earned up to August 20, 2024, which will retain their existing validity.
The Status Pass must be applied to a booking on or before its expiry; however, the booking can contain flights departing before or after the expiry. Learn more about Status Passes.
More flexible options for Flight Pass
We’re enhancing your travel flexibility with more options to tailor Air Canada Flight Passes to your needs.
Purchase flexibility: Start with as few as 6 credits on all regularly offered Flight Passes. This new option includes passes that previously required a minimum of 10 credits. For example, you can now enjoy this flexibility with our popular East West Connector, New York and Boston Commuter and Rapidair Flight Passes.
Longer extension period: Plan ahead with confidence! Extend your Flight Pass up to 3 months in advance.
Remember, Aeroplan Elite Members get both bonus eUpgrade credits and bonus Status Qualifying Miles (SQM) with every eligible Flight Pass activity. Learn more about Flight Passes.

Star Alliance updates
On April 8, 2024, Scandinavian Airlines announced that it will leave Star Alliance at the end of August. The move follows restructuring, which is seeing SkyTeam member, Air France-KLM, take a stake in SAS. The airline will join SkyTeam with the transition beginning on September 1, 2024.
August car redemption campaign – Terms and Conditions
- This Offer (defined below) is valid on new eligible car rentals on or before September 3rd, 2024, 11:59 pm PT (the “Offer Period”) for qualifying rental car use taking place between August 12, 2024, 12:01 am NT and March 31, 2025, 11:59 pm PT (the “Rental Period”).
- Open only to Aeroplan Members in good standing. If you are not an Aeroplan Member, you can visit the Aeroplan web site (aircanada.com/aeroplan) and enroll today. Membership is free.
- Aeroplan Members must register for this Offer between August 12, 2024, 12:01 am NT and September 3, 2024, 11:59 pm PT (the “Registration Period”). To register, click on the “One-click registration” tab or on the “Register for this offer” tab in the Offer e-mail received or you can also register by clicking on the Offer banner when it is displayed on aircanada.com and then follow the instructions for registration.
