With over 175 daily departures to more than 50 destinations in over 25 countries, Heathrow Airport’s new Terminal 2 - also known as The Queen’s Terminal - is a state-of-the-art terminal which welcomes up to 20 million passengers each year.
Terminal 2 also serves as Air Canada’s home for all flights into and out of London:
- In Terminal 2A you will find check-in, security, baggage claim and some gates,
- In Terminal 2B you will find most international departure gates as well as our brand-new Maple Leaf Lounge
Check-in and Departures
Air Canada check-in and baggage drop off is located in ZONE A of the check-in lobby.
Premium desks and dedicated full-service check-in are also available for eligible customers (see the Priority Services tab for details).
Step 1
Use one of the many available self-service machines located in the check-in lobby to:
- Check-in and print your boarding pass
- Print your baggage tags
Step 2
Proceed to the first available bag drop desk within Zone A. An agent will take your bags and activate your bag tags. Bag Drop desks in Zone A are shared between Air Canada, Air China, EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Turkish Airlines.
If you need assistance, please proceed to any Check-in Assistance desk within Zone A shared with Air China, EVA Air,Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Turkish Airlines.
Step 3
Move forward to the security lanes, then onward to the gate area.
Air Canada flights will be departing at areas T2A or T2B.
Priority Services
Premium desks and dedicated full-service check-in are available in ZONE A for:
- Aeroplan Elite Status members
- Star Alliance Gold members,
- Customers travelling in International Business Class, Premium Economy Class or on a Latitude fare
- Air Canada Maple Leaf Club card holder
- Aeroplan black credit cards (TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card, American Express®* - Aeroplan® Business Reserve Card, American Express®* Aeroplan® Corporate Reserve Card)
Priority Security Clearance is available to:
- Passengers travelling in International Business Class
- Aeroplan Super Elite, Aeroplan 75K, Aeroplan 50K and Aeroplan 35K members travelling in Economy Class.
Look for signs indicating "Fastrack - by invitation only".

Air Canada Maple Leaf™ Lounge
The new Air Canada Maple Leaf™ Lounge at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 opens its doors on June 18, 2014. Among conveniences for passengers departing London on long-haul flights, it features:
- a tended bar
- a spa-like shower area
- a bistro with chef’s cooking station, and
- a "quiet zone" with TV-equipped relaxation pods and chaises.

Arrivals Lounge
The Arrivals Lounge*, conveniently located to the left upon leaving the secure area past baggage claim in the T2 arrivals hall, is open to the following Air Canada customers:
- Business Class customers arriving on an Air Canada international flight
- Super Elite 100K members (including 1 guest) arriving on an Air Canada international flight

Arrivals and Baggage Retrieval
The spacious Arrivals Hall at Terminal 2 spans the width of the building.
All Air Canada flights arrive at areas T2A and T2B. Baggage is delivered to one of the eight international baggage reclaim belts.
Connecting Passengers
Are you arriving at Heathrow’s Terminal 2 then moving onward to another flight? Follow the purple connection signage.
From T2 to T2
- Enter transfers security on the Terminal 2 Arrivals level.
- Proceed to Gate level for ticket presentation and validation.
- Enter the main T2A departure lounge where you’ll find the gate for your next flight.
From T2A to Terminal 1
- Take the walkway that connects Terminal 2 to Terminal 1.
- When you arrive in Terminal 1, proceed to transfers security.
- Pass through ticket presentation and validation.
- Enter the main departures area and proceed to your gate.
From Terminal 2 to Terminals 3, 4 or 5
- Board an inter-terminal coach and get off at the appropriate terminal for your connecting flight.
- Follow the signs and proceed to transfers security.
- Pass through ticket presentation and validation.
- Enter the main departures area and proceed to your gate.
