To check in you’ll need:

A valid ferry ticket from Shenzhen Shekou, Zhongshan, or Guangzhou Pazhou

A valid air ticket with a confirmed flight booking for same-day departure

A valid travel document and entry/transit visa for your destination, if required

Your step-by-step guide

  1. Book your flight with us or through your travel agent, then visit the Chu Kong Passenger Transport official website for ferry transfer services and information on purchase of ferry tickets1.

  2. Please arrive at the ferry pier at least 60 minutes before ferry departure1

  3. Visit the Air Canada check-in counter to obtain your boarding pass(es) and drop off any checked bags. Your bags will be tagged through to your final destination and you are not required to pick them up at Hong Kong International Airport.

  4. Enjoy the ferry ride to SkyPier. Once you arrive at Hong Kong International Airport, proceed to the departure gate. Please schedule your ferry arrival at the SkyPier Terminal for at least 80 minutes before flight departure.

Special services and excess baggage

Due to limitations at the ferry terminals, excess baggage payments, special services including unaccompanied minor or special baggage such as pet in cabin or sports equipment are not available to the customers using upstream check-in service. Please proceed to Air Canada’s check-in counters at Hong Kong International Airport, at least 3 hours prior to your flight departure if you have pre-booked and require such services.

Passengers with excess baggage can pay excess baggage fees online when online check-in opens.
