Air Canada will operate special flights as repatriation efforts continue

Air Canada, in collaboration with the Canadian Government, will operate on an exceptional basis, flights from Morocco, Ecuador, Peru and Spain to bring Canadians back home. These flights are part of Air Canada's ongoing efforts to repatriate Canadians. The details are:

• Casablanca-Montreal: On March 25 and March 27, we will operate additional services with a 400-seat Boeing 777 aircraft.
• Quito-Toronto: Flights from Quito to Toronto will begin March 25 on a wide-body Air Canada Rouge Boeing 767 with 281 seats.
• Flights to/from Lima: Air Canada will operate 3 flights between Toronto and Lima with a wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft with 450 seats.
  • Toronto-Lima: The first departure from Toronto scheduled for March 24 will also take back Peruvians who wish to return home. Peruvians must contact the embassy for a seat on this flight.
  • Lima-Toronto: Two other special flights from Lima to Toronto are currently scheduled for March 26 and 27.
• Barcelona-Toronto: On March 25, a flight will depart Barcelona for Montreal on a wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 297 seats.

Canadians abroad must register with Global Affairs Canada to obtain a seat on one of these special flights. Travellers are also strongly encouraged to contact the local Canadian Embassy or sos@international.gc.ca if urgent assistance is required.

Update: Lounges

As of March 18, 2020, we have temporarily closed some of our Maple Leaf Lounges. We have also adjusted the product offered at facilities which remain open and have taken additional steps to protect the health of your customers and our employees.
 
The following facilities are temporarily closed:

• All Maple Leaf Lounges at Toronto-Pearson (YYZ)
• Maple Leaf Lounges at Ottawa (YOW), St-John’s (YYT), Regina (YQR), Saskatoon (YXE), Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC), Winnipeg (YWG), Halifax (YHZ), Paris (CDG), Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), New York LaGuardia (LGA), Montreal -- Transborder (YUL), Vancouver – Transborder (YVR), Frankfurt (FRA)
• Air Canada Café at Toronto-Pearson (YYZ)
• Air Canada Signature Suite at Toronto-Pearson (YYZ)
• Air Canada Signature Suite at Vancouver International (YVR)
• London-Heathrow Arrivals Lounge

Lounges that remain open are offering an adjusted menu with prepackaged snacks, and staff assisted service for all beverages. We have also taken additional measures to ensure the cleanliness of all our lounges.

Please note that other partner lounges may also be closed. We invite your clients to check directly with the operating carrier.
