Seating options
We’ll do our best to provide you with the best seating arrangement available in the cabin you're travelling in based on your specific needs.
Contact Air Canada Accessibility Services at least 48 hours1 before departure to request:
- A flexible seating arrangement (e.g. liftable or removable armrests, proximity to the washrooms or exit, or seatbelt extender)
- An extra seat or additional space
More about additional space
- Adjacent seats are assigned in advance to help us better accommodate your needs.
- Only one reservation and ticket are required in the name of the person travelling. Duplicate bookings under the same name are not permitted, nor are identical bookings made under different names.
- You can request an extra seat free of charge when travelling within Canada2 simply by printing a copy of the Air Canada Fitness-for-travel form and following the instructions for how to request medical approval.
- If you are travelling outside of Canada, extra seating is available for purchase.
- Due to cabin configuration, extra seating is not available in our Signature Class cabin.
- If your request for extra space is due to a disability, you'll also need to obtain medical approval before travel.
- Please refer to our Service/emotional support dogs section if the extra space is for your service animal.
