Service-level guarantee**
Within Canada and between Canada and the U.S.
If your shipment is not available for pickup within the committed retrieval time, all applicable weight charges will be reduced to the AC General Cargo standard service level.◊
International
If your shipment is not available for pickup within the committed retrieval time, you will be refunded 25% of all applicable weight charges.◊
Terms & conditions
** The service level guarantee will not be applicable if the failure to transport a shipment on a specific flight/road feeder service or if failure to make a shipment available for pickup within the committed retrieval time is caused by the following: weather conditions, air traffic control, Acts of God, peril of the air, public enemies, quarantine, pandemic (including the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic), riots, strikes, civil commotion, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Air Canada, and as defined in Rule 170 of the Canadian Cargo International Rules and Rates and as defined in Rule G32 of the Airline Tariff Publishing Co. Claims will be considered in accordance with Air Canada’s claims process upon receipt of a written claim from the shipper or the consignee. Some restrictions apply for dangerous goods.
No refund or reduction is applicable for failure to forward on the booked flight, for shipments booked as:

- AC Absolute
- AC Compassion
- AC Animals
- AC Horses
- AC Secure
