The holidays are upon us, and it’s a time for reflection on another year of travels, while preparing for the many exciting journeys ahead. Hopefully you’ve had an opportunity to enjoy some of the little touches we’ve introduced this year to make your experience better, such as complimentary beer, wine, and snacks; exciting new menu choices, in-flight live TV featuring the Paris Olympic games, and baggage tracking in our mobile app.

We’re also working to make your ground experience more enjoyable. In December, we’re opening renovated Maple Leaf Lounges in Los Angeles, London and Frankfurt. You can look forward to more upgrades and new lounges every year—for many years to come. More on that later.

Rest assured, there’s no winter hibernation planned for us. The new year will bring a host of exciting updates for members, and I’m absolutely delighted to be connecting you with one of them in this digest!

No matter where you’re heading, we hope you enjoy the many privileges and offers your Aeroplan Elite Status provides during your travels, at your destination, and everywhere in between.

From all of us at Aeroplan, we wish you and your family a happy holiday season filled with comfort and joy.

Thank you so much for your Loyalty,

Here’s your Elite updates

Fast, free Wi-Fi coming soon!

We know that staying connected while onboard is important to you. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that, starting in May 2025, we’ll begin rolling out fast, free Wi-Fi on the entire Air Canada fleet for our Aeroplan members. Flights throughout North and Central America will be first to feature free service, and long-haul international flights will be added in 2026.

Sponsored by Bell, our Wi-Fi service upgrades are well underway on regional aircraft, including CRJ900s and Embraer 175s. These planes will be completed in 2025 and feature a next-generation system. We’re also continuing to install Wi-Fi connectivity on our Boeing 737 Max aircraft, with completion expected in time for the peak summer season.

Many airlines around the world have made free Wi-Fi announcements, only to be followed by several years of waiting, or, yet worse, large parts of their fleet not actually included. Air Canada plans to begin offering this service a few months after today’s announcement; over 85% of our aircraft will be available from day one, with the remaining installations following shortly thereafter.

Upgrading Wi-Fi connectivity across all routes is a top priority for us at Air Canada, and we’re partnering with industry-leading providers to ensure reliable global network coverage and access to best-in-class technology, now and in the future.

For Aeroplan 75K and Super Elite Members who've chosen the Aeroplan Elite Wi-Fi plan as a select benefit, your Wi-Fi plan will continue to be valuable, as it will provide unlimited access on any Air Canada Wi-Fi equipped aircraft including on international flights until the free service is offered on all flights in 2026.

The Elite membership kit is changing

In our ongoing effort to reduce our environmental footprint, and to reinvest in additional program benefits we are simplifying the 2025 Elite membership kit to include only what matters most: Aeroplan Elite™ Status luggage tags. Members who requalify for Aeroplan 50K Status or higher in 2025 can expect their new kit in the mail during the first quarter of the year. As always, members can access their Elite Status membership card and enjoy all the status privileges anytime via the Air Canada app.

Great news! We’re extending our 4th Night Free offer or 2025!

Aeroplan credit cardholders can get a fourth night FREE.
