You don't have to look hard to find the lowest fare.
When you visit us here at aircanada.com, you'll find our lowest North American fares. No need to search for lower Air Canada fares elsewhere - you won't find them. That's our Lowest Fare Guarantee.
If, within 24 hours of completing a purchase on aircanada.com, you find a fare for the exact same Air Canada or Jazz flight(s) that's at least $1 less with another Canadian online travel retailer, Air Canada will offer you a credit of $50 plus the fare difference, per passenger.
You'll receive your Lowest Fare Guarantee credit in the form of a promotion code, which you can then easily apply toward a future travel purchase on aircanada.com.
Just make sure that:- your itinerary originates in Canada for travel within Canada or between Canada and the United States (excluding Puerto Rico), with all flights operated by Air Canada or Jazz,
- you found the lower fare within 24 hours of your original ticket purchase,
- the lower fare is not available on aircanada.com,
- the lower fare is at least $1 less than your original fare,
- the lower fare is for the exact same Air Canada flight, date, time, itinerary, and fare family as the original itinerary you purchased at aircanada.com
- the lower fare is all-inclusive (i.e. including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges)
- Note the complete Web address (URL) of the website where you found the lower fare.
- Capture screenshots and/or printouts of the itinerary, as well as a detailed fare quote including taxes, fees and fare rules from the website where you found the lower fare. (Retain this information in case further verification is required.)
- Ensure that the lower fare is not also available on aircanada.com
- Submit your claim online within 24 hours of your original ticket purchase by using our online claim form.
Once your claim has been validated, usually within 96 hours, you'll receive an email with the promotion code for the $50 credit plus the fare difference which you can apply toward future travel with us.
If you find a lower fare on aircanada.com within 24 hours of purchasing your ticket on our website, our current flexible purchase policy allows you to simply cancel and refund your original Air Canada booking free of charge via aircanada.com, and purchase the lower fare. In this case, there is no need to submit a claim, as the Lowest Fare Guarantee credit does not apply.
Program Details & Conditions
The Original Fare, purchased on aircanada.com
The Original Fare must be purchased for travel marketed and operated by Air Canada and Jazz, on the Canadian Edition of aircanada.com. This offer is not valid for itineraries purchased on aircanada.com which include flights operated by other airlines such as Air Canada codeshare flights or flights operated by our Tier III regional partners. The Original Fare may not include any add-on travel options (for instance, Maple Leaf Lounge access) or opt-out extra savings (for instance, Choosing not to accumulate Aeroplan miles). All travel must be within Canada or between Canada and the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and originate in Canada. All travel must be one-way or roundtrip.
The Lower Fare, found on a third-party online travel retailer
The Lower Fare must be available within 24 hours of the purchase of the Original Fare, through a Canadian third-party online travel retailer, with fares displayed & sold in Canadian Dollars (CAD). The Lower Fare must be at least $1 (CAD) less than the Original Fare. The Lower Fare must be for the exact same Air Canada flight number, date, time, itinerary (including connection points, if any), and fare family as the original itinerary purchased at aircanada.com. The Lower Fare may not include any add-on travel options (for instance, Maple Leaf Lounge access) or opt-out extra savings (for instance, Choosing not to accumulate Aeroplan miles). The Lower Fare found must be all-inclusive (that is, including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges), as this guarantee applies to the total Lower fare.
The following types of fares are not eligible: Private fares, including (but not limited to) consolidator, wholesaler, contract and corporate fares, as well as other fares not readily available to the general public; Published fares where the airline is not disclosed at the time of ticketing, or where the ticket is obtained through any type of auction; Fares purchased as part of a travel package; Reduced fares as a result of promotional or loyalty program discounts; Aeroplan Reward tickets, as well as Flight Pass products. The Lowest Fare Guarantee does not apply to a ticket that you choose to refund.
Submitting the claim
Air Canada requires customers to take note of the details of the Lower Fare, by capturing screenshots of the pages just prior to the purchase confirmation (such as the flight summary page, detailing a breakdown of the taxes and fees associated with the fare, as well as any pages detailing fare rules and restrictions). This information should be retained in the event that Air Canada requires further confirmation of a customer's claim. The third-party vendor must be an IATA accredited distributor of Air Canada fares. No purchase of the Lower Fare is required. Air Canada reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be reasonably verified, or for which incomplete or inaccurate information has been provided. Claims must be submitted online within 24 hours of purchase of the Original Fare by completing the online claim form. No other claims will be accepted.
Credit voucher issuance & usage
Your claim will be handled within 96 hours of receipt and once it has been confirmed, Air Canada will provide a Credit voucher, in the form of a promotion code in the amount of CAD $50 plus the difference between the Original Fare and the Lower fare. The Credit voucher is valid for one year, and can be applied for future, roundtrip travel on Air Canada and Jazz flights within Canada or from Canada to the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) purchased only via aircanada.com. Credit vouchers are transferable without consideration. Credit vouchers issued to eligible customers will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Credit vouchers are subject to terms and conditions related to promotion code usage, which will be provided upon Credit voucher issuance.
Air Canada is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules and reserves the right to modify or cancel this guarantee at any time without prior notice.
