If, within 24 hours after completing a purchase on aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents, you find a price for the exact same Air Canada itinerary that's at least $5 less, Air Canada will offer you a credit of $50 plus the price difference, per passenger.

Upon review of your claim and should all of the terms and conditions of our program be met, you’ll receive your Air Canada Lowest Price Guarantee credit in the form of a promotion code, which you can then easily apply toward a future travel purchase on aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents.

Terms and Conditions

If you find a lower price on a Canadian travel provider’s website or through a Canadian travel agency within 24 hours after purchasing your original Air Canada ticket, you can do one of two things!

Option 1: Cancel and obtain a refund of your original Air Canada ticket and purchase the lower price on aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents. In this instance, no Lowest Price Guarantee credit will be granted as our flexible 24 hour cancellation policy allows you to cancel and rebook at the lower price without penalty.

Option 2: Keep your original Air Canada ticket and send in a claim along with valid screenshots of the lower price found for review. If all terms and conditions are met, you will receive a $50 credit plus the price difference, per passenger in the form of a promotion code.

Before you submit your claim, you’ll need to make sure of the following:

  1. The original price

    • Is for a one-way or round-trip itinerary originating in Canada to any Air Canada destination.
    • Was purchased on the Canadian edition of aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents for travel marketed and operated exclusively by Air Canada, Air Canada rouge or Air Canada Express (flights operated by Sky Regional, Jazz Aviation LP, Exploits Valley Air Services Ltd or Air Georgian).
    • Does not include any purchased travel options (e.g. Maple Leaf Lounge access or On My Way Travel Assistance)
    • Does not include codeshare flights marketed or operated by another carrier.
  2. The lower price

    • Is available through a Canadian travel provider’s website or a Canadian travel agency within 24 hours after you’ve purchased your original Air Canada ticket.
    • Is displayed and sold in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
    • Is at least $5 less than your original purchased price.
    • Itinerary must match your original booking:
      • Is for the same Air Canada flight numbers, for travel marketed and operated exclusively by Air Canada, Air Canada rouge or Air Canada Express (flights operated by Sky Regional, Jazz Aviation LP, Exploits Valley Air Services Ltd or Air Georgian).
      • Is for the same dates, times and fare family.
      • Is for the same number and type of passengers (i.e. Adult, Child, Infant, Senior)
    • Includes all taxes, fees, air transportation and other charges (as this guarantee applies to the total lower price).
    • Does not include any purchased travel options (e.g., Maple Leaf Lounge access or On My Way Travel Assistance).
    • Does not include Codeshare flights marketed or operated by another carrier.
  3. The lower price you found is not:

    • Available on aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents
    • An advertised price by another airline
    • An advertised price for which the name of the airline is not disclosed at time of purchase
    • For a ticket obtained through any type of bidding or auction type systems
    • For air tickets purchased as part of a travel package
    • Obtained as a result of a frequent flier or other customer loyalty program
    • Reduced as a result of promotional discounts such as dollar off coupons or other reward incentives
    • For an Aeroplan reward ticket, Flight Pass product, or tickets purchased via the AC2U travel agents tool
    • For negotiated or special fares only available through wholesale or contractual agreements

How to submit your claim

Once you’ve determined that all of the above conditions are met, follow these easy steps to submit your claim and get your Lowest Price Guarantee credit:

  1. Take note of the details of the lower price:

    1. If you found the lower price on a Canadian travel provider’s website :
      • Capture screenshots from the website where you found the lower price. Your screenshots must display:
        • The complete website address (URL).
        • The same Air Canada flight numbers, dates, times, fare family as well as the same number and type of passengers as the original booking (i.e. Adult, Child, Infant, Senior).
        • The flight summary page which details the lower price (including all taxes, fees, air transportation and other charges). This page is obtained after selecting and confirming your flight itinerary.
          • Please note screenshots of the flight search results page will not be considered as fare availability is subject to change.
        • Any page containing the fare rules and restrictions.
        • These pages will appear prior to the Purchase Confirmation page; no purchase is necessary to view these pages.
    2. If you found the lower price through a Canadian travel agency:
      • You will be requested to provide the name of the travel agency, address of its establishment as well as the communicated price quote details in a screenshot or printout containing:
        • The same Air Canada flight numbers, dates, times and fare family, as well as the same number and type of passengers as the original booking (i.e. Adult,Child, Infant, Senior)
        • The flight summary page which details the lower price (including all taxes, fees, air transportation and other charges).
        • Any page containing the fare rules and restrictions.
    Important
    • All submitted screenshots must display the date and time they were captured and must be dated within the 24 hour period after purchasing your Air Canada ticket (either the same day as you purchased your ticket or the day after).
    • Screenshots dated outside this timeframe will not be considered.
    • Please retain all screenshots until your claim has been reviewed and completed.
  2. Submit your claim within 24 hours after purchasing your ticket:

    Claims must be submitted by using our online form.

    • Claims cannot be submitted or validated by calling Air Canada Reservations or by speaking to a Customer Service and Sales agent.
    • Claims submitted after 24 hours cannot be considered.

Air Canada reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be reasonably verified for any reasons including, but not limited to, unclear or undated screenshots, or for which incomplete or inaccurate information has been provided. Air Canada is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules and reserves the right to modify or cancel this guarantee at any time without prior notice.

Your Lowest Price Guarantee Credit

If your claim meets all of the terms and conditions of this program, you will receive your Lowest Price Guarantee credit in the amount of CAD $50 plus the price difference per passenger in the form of a promotion code.

The promotion code:
  • Is valid for one year from the date it is issued.
  • Must be used to book a new flight on the Canadian edition of aircanada.com or aircanada.com/agents for travel marketed and operated exclusively by Air Canada, Air Canada rouge or Air Canada Express (flights operated by Sky Regional, Jazz Aviation LP, Exploits Valley Air Services Ltd or Air Georgian). Codeshare flights marketed or operated by another carrier are not eligible.
  • Can be applied to a future one-way or round-trip itinerary originating in Canada to any Air Canada destination.
  • Is non-transferable.
  • Will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Is subject to terms and conditions related to promotion code usage, which will be provided when the credit is issued.
