Electronic Ticket

Welcome to the world of electronic ticketing -
the time-saving, 'ticketless' way to travel!

Electronic ticketing, also known as e-ticketing, makes your entire travel experience easy, safe and efficient. With an e-ticket, all your ticket information remains safely stored in our computer system until you arrive at the airport.

E-ticketing also allows you to access your ticket information anytime should you wish to view, change or cancel your reservation.

Here's how it works:

  • Book, pay and issue your electronic ticket(s) on www.aircanada.com for any eligible itinerary or ask your travel agent for an e-ticket. Please note that all online booking transactions must be completed at least two hours before departure.
  • Have your itinerary/receipt e-mailed, faxed, mailed or issued to you in person and have it with you at the airport for security and customs-immigration purposes;
  • Use your e-ticket to reserve an assigned seat or to check in using Air Canada’s convenient self-service Web Check-In or Express Check-In Kiosks, or present a copy of your itinerary/receipt and appropriate ID to an agent at the Air Canada check-in counter.
  • Reserve an assigned seat;
  • Tickets may be purchased up to one hour before departure;
  • All matters involving Upgrade certificates, excess baggage and other special services will be processed as usual.
