| Ammunition |
Ammunition is only accepted in checked baggage and must be packaged separately from the firearm. Ammunition allowance is limited to 5 kg (11 LB) per passenger. Only shells or cartridges are acceptable types of ammunition. Gunpowder and gunpowder pellets are strictly prohibited. |
Ammunition must be packed securely in a strong container of wood, metal or fiberboard, plainly marked "ammunition," or in the original inner carton. To avoid shock movement, the carton must be placed inside a suitcase and cushioned with clothing. |
| Antlers or Horns |
Antlers or horns are accepted as checked baggage only. Weight limit on antlers or horns is 32 kg (70 lb).
If checked in separately, antlers and horns count as one piece of baggage towards the maximum number of checked bags allowed by your fare type.
If your baggage count (antlers or horns + number of bags to be checked) exceeds the maximum number of items allowed by your fare type, charges will apply.
In addition to any applicable additional baggage charges, antlers and horns are subject to a $150 CAD/USD handling charge (plus applicable taxes) for carriage on all Air Canada and Jazz flights. The charge applies to one-way flights and for each way of travel on round-trip and multi-segment flights.
Please note that a single fixed handling charge is waived for Latitude and Executive fare customers for travel within Canada, and between Canada and the US. Additional checked baggage rules still apply.

The antlers or horns must be clean and well-wrapped in absorbent material with all points covered. The item must be suitably packaged in a rigid and/or hard shell container specifically designed for shipping. Smaller antlers wrapped in a larger set count as an additional item. |
| Bounty |
Bounty may be substituted for a free checked baggage allowance piece if it fits within the weight and dimensions of 23kg (50lb) and 158 linear cm (62 in). However, when carried over and above this allowance, additional charges will be levied at the airport. |
Meat or game must be transported in a leak-proof container or wrapped in absorbent material and then placed in plastic bags inside waxed cartons. Plastic bags alone are not sufficient for transport. |
| Firearms |
Hunting rifles and shotguns are accepted as checked baggage only, and must be unloaded. Before Air Canada accepts the firearm, you must sign a declaration form attesting that the gun is unloaded.

Passengers travelling to Seoul, South Korea and planning on bringing firearms into that country must contact Air Canada Reservations prior to travel for specific security requirements.

The firearm must be inhibited from being fired by using a secure, locking device mechanism or trigger lock on the weapon.
The firearm must be packaged and locked in a specially designed, opaque case that cannot be easily broken into during transport.
