Excess Baggage

When traveling on Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz, the size and the number of bags you check is limited by the free checked baggage allowance (free allowance may vary depending on class of service, fare purchased, top-tier level). If your baggage exceeds this free allowance (in number, size, and/or weight), you will be charged an excess baggage fee.

Excess baggage is accepted subject to space availability. Currency exchange rates may affect amount to be paid. Applicable taxes are not included in the prices. The excess baggage fees are not refundable if your bags are delayed.

Important information for passengers flying on code share flight(s).

Note: Please arrive at the airport at least 120 min before departure if checking overweight or oversized baggage. More than one excess fee may be applied. For example, if the item is overweight and oversized, it will be charged twice.

For oversized bags (more than 115in/292cm) and/or overweight bags (more than 70lb/32kg), please contact your Air Canada Cargo Local Sales Office for handling.
