AIR CANADA PROVIDES INFORMATION FOR MEXICAN NATIONALS TRAVELLING TO CANADA
MONTRÉAL July 14, 2009 – Due to new Canadian federal government visa requirements for Mexican nationals visiting Canada, Air Canada has revised its ticketing policies for these customers. Mexican citizens currently booked to fly on Air Canada to Canada between now and August 15, 2009, who wish to change or cancel their flight while they obtain a temporary resident visa have until July 31, 2009, to do so without penalty. If travel is rebooked at a higher fare and flights are taken before August 15, 2009, Air Canada will honor the fare originally paid.
Customers of Mexican nationality travelling to Canada, who wish to make changes to the Air Canada portion of their travel arrangements, can do so through Air Canada Reservations. In Mexico, for the Federal District telephone 9138 0280 (regular toll charges apply) and in the Mexican Republic call 01 800 719 2827 (toll free within Mexico) 24 hours a day.
