
Easier transit via Canada for travel to the U.S.

Air Canada is an approved air carrier participating in the Canadian government's Transit without Visa (TWOV) program, and China Transit Program (CTP). This participation allows Air Canada's customers who are citizens of certain Asian countries and who are transiting through either Vancouver Airport or Toronto-Pearson Airport to travel to or from the U.S. without obtaining a Canadian temporary resident visa under the conditions outlined below.Eligible passengers
The TWOV program applies to the following passengers only:- Citizens from Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) and Thailand who hold
- A valid passport issued by an approved country (listed above), and
- A U.S. visa that is valid upon their arrival in the U.S.
- Citizens of China who:
- Are traveling direct to Canada from one of six approved embarkation points in Asia including Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
- Who hold a valid Chinese passport.
- Who hold a U.S. visa that is valid upon their arrival in the U.S.
Approved airports and carriers
The TWOV program applies only to:- These approved airports: Vancouver Intl. Airport and Toronto Pearson Intl. Airport.
- Approved air carriers, including Air Canada, Air Canada Express (flights operated by Jazz and Sky Regional), and Air Georgian
- These approved airports: Vancouver Intl. Airport and Toronto Pearson Intl. Airport.
- Approved air carriers, , including Air Canada and Air Canada Express (flights operated by Jazz and Sky Regional)
