James Tabor

Vice President, System Operations Control

Jim Tabor was appointed Vice President, System Operations Control in May, 2013. In this role, he has overall responsibility for ensuring the most effective and efficient day-of-flight operating schedule, while ensuring that all operating plans support Air Canada's corporate priorities concerning safety, customer service and profitability.

Prior to joining Air Canada, Jim was Vice President, Operations at Florida-based Air Tran Airways, where he had oversight for day-to-day operations including dispatch, aircraft routing, passenger movement, crew planning and scheduling and operational analysis. He brings more than 32 years of airline operational, customer service and network expertise and has successfully championed strategic process and system changes to maximize operational performance at three North American carriers.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA.
