Zeina Gedeon

Vice President, Sales Canada and Product Distribution

Zeina Gedeon was appointed Vice President, Sales Canada and Product Distribution in August 2013 with oversight for Air Canada’s global sales management in Canada, e-commerce, Product Distribution and Sales Development activities. Zeina is responsible for the strategy, development and ongoing management of all distribution channels pertaining to Air Canada products and digital touch points (website, kiosk, mobile devices) including the development of any supporting platforms or new functionalities.

Previously, Zeina was President & Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada Vacations, a role she had held since 2006 where she was responsible for the overall strategic direction at Air Canada’s wholly-owned tour operator. Before being appointed President & CEO, Zeina was the tour operator’s Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Air Canada Vacations, Zeina held senior positions at Air Canada. As General Manager, Operations - Tango, she helped launch the separately-branded, low-fare service in 2001 that later became a cornerstone of Air Canada’s branded-fare strategy. Her experience at Tango was further leveraged when she later became Air Canada’s General Manager, Network Optimization.

Having literally grown up in the travel industry, she began her career as a travel agent in her native Lebanon and after moving to Canada in 1987, she continued as a corporate travel manager in Ottawa. Zeina entered the technology sector in 1993 and became a qualified computer programmer, leading a consultancy firm that developed online strategies and implemented websites for clients. Her work as a consultant at Tango where she helped develop that brand's website subsequently led to her roles at Tango and at Air Canada.

Zeina’s legendary, inimitable personality and well-regarded passion for her work was aptly reflected when she was voted “Personality of the Year” in 2011 by the travel trade.
