Susan Welscheid
Senior Vice President, Customer Service

Sue Welscheid was appointed Senior Vice President, Customer Service in April 2009.  In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all of the airline’s customer service, interaction and touch point areas, including Call Centres, Airport processes and operations, Air Canada Ground Handling Services, In-flight Service, and Customer Relations.

Sue was previously appointed Vice President, In-Flight Service in 2004 and assumed responsibility for Call Centres and Customer Relations in 2007.  In December 1999, she was appointed Vice President, People, responsible for overseeing the human resource functions of the airline.  An Air Canada employee for 30 years, Sue has held various positions in many different branches of the airline including Marketing, Corporate Communications, Office of the President, Customer Service Support and Airports. She has also led a number of special projects in the areas of customer service, corporate image and employee involvement.

A native of Geneva, Switzerland, Sue completed her post-secondary education in the United Kingdom and at the American College of Switzerland.  Prior to joining Air Canada, Sue worked in London, Johannesburg, Paris, Munich and Geneva.
