Interview tips

  1. Be prepared
Take the time to learn about who we are, and what we do. This website is a good place to begin learning about our business.

  2. Make a great impression
Ensure that you dress suitably. Proper business attire is always required for a formal interview. Present yourself in a manner that shows you are serious and professional. Shake hands, sit up straight, and maintain eye contact. These may seem obvious, however they are often forgotten.

  3. Be on time
Showing up early for your interview is always a good idea. This will give you enough time to use the washroom, relax, and collect your thoughts. Having a time buffer is necessary in case you get lost. Being late for your interview does not make a good first impression.

  4. Stay calm and confident
Any interview situation is nerve-racking. However try your best to appear calm and confident. The best advice is to be yourself while still maintaining a professional demeanor. We want to get to know you.

  5. Show us you are the right candidate
Make sure you can sell yourself. Come prepared with specific examples of your past experiences from the classroom and the workplace. We want to know how you have contributed and what you have learned from your experiences.

  6. Be Concise
Get to the point. Don’t ramble or talk too much and stay focused. Formulating a concise and well thought out answer will show off your communication skills.

  7. Get clarification when needed
We don’t mind repeating a question so make sure you ask us to if you need clarification. Take your time, understand the question, and formulate a great answer.

  8. Come equipped with questions
Make sure that you have a few questions ready to ask the interviewers. This will show us that you are serious about the job and interested in our company. This will also help you to decide if the position is right for you.

  9. Follow up after the interview
Sending a letter or email to thank the interviewers for their time is a good idea. This will show us that you are still interested in being considered for the position. It will also show you’re considerate and well mannered.
