Graduate and Undergraduate
Hire Program
The final destination is up to you.
What is the Graduate and Undergraduate Hire Program? The Air Canada Graduate and Undergraduate Hire Program is an 18 month professional development initiative. The program offers the unique opportunity to gain a “grass roots” understanding of our business. For the first 6 months of the program, participants work in the dayto-day operations at Air Canada. This means working at the airport, in our call centre, or with our in-flight group. The knowledge and understanding gained through this invaluable experience can then be transferred to the corporate world of Air Canada. The final 12 months of the program will allow just that. Participants will undertake a corporate role and may work on a number of different projects. They will also be paired with one of our Executives or Senior Directors to gain exposure and a global understanding of our business – they will learn what it takes to become a future leader at Air Canada. At the end of the 18 month program, it is up to each participant to find their “niche” in one of our many departments in order to pave their way to a challenging future. Who is eligible for the program?Air Canada seeks recent graduates and undergraduates. Specifically, candidates should have an MBA or Bachelors degree in the fields of Finance, Marketing/Sales, Human Resources/Industrial Relations, Information Technology, Operational Research, engineering (mechanical, electrical, aeronautical or industrial) or other related fields. The ideal candidates will have experience working in a leadership role, demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial skills, and a keen interest in customer service. If you have a passion for the airline industry, thrive on change, have strong communication and leadership skills, and are customer focused and results driven, than this program may be for you! Where are the positions?Positions for the program are available in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. When does the next Program commence? The next Graduate and Undergraduate Hire Program is scheduled to commence in the Spring of 2009. Recruitment activities will begin in late 2008/early 2009. How do I apply?Build your online profile by clicking on “submit resume”. When we start the recruitment activities in early 2009, you will receive an email inviting you to apply. In the meantime, you can instruct our system to inform you of positions in the fields you select in your online profile. If you have any questions, please email grad@aircanada.ca Air Canada. Easing your way into a successful career.
